Hi,

When u creating sales order u select customer number then automatically the remaining information about that customer will update in sales header.this is actual process.
But my client is asking in different way that when enter a letter in
sell- to- customer field in sales header the names of that letter has to update. then u select which name u want, then automatically the customer number and remaining information has to update.
Ex:

if i enter a character in Sell-to- customer field that is 'A'
then it has to show the names in dropdown
anil
alex
albert
arnold.......like that
if select arnold the remining information has to update.
I know navision based on Primarykey and Unique code.
Just think if u hundereds of customer the second process is very easy.
even vendor , item should also update the above process

please do this help.

thanks and regards

I am afraid that is not possible.
The only way is to go into the lookupform and let them type in the name part of the customer.

Teach your customer how to navigate NAV, that will be much more efficient than to try and program one form to what it's not supposed to do.

If he wants you to program it (or something alike), he will pay twice for it: first to program it and then when he will want to upgrade Navision because it is not standard.
