what are filters and how they are used in navision

hi,
I do not want to be rude in anny way.
My advice is to get a basic training in navision before using or developing.
As a minimum try to look at the (productcd)\doc\w1w1adg.pdf file.
btw a filter you could compare with the where clause of a sql statement.
It is used to filter the records on a form or in a programatic loop.
