How to add an automated date filter to a report

I need to automate a weekly report which means I need to add a filter to the report that selects a date range without user intervention. I am not sure how to do this properly.

The example is to have a report autorun every Wednesday that counts the orders and totals the sales for the prior week (Mon through Sun).

on predataitem trigger you can add code something like this.


setrange("Posting Date",today-8,today-3);


running it automatically can be done on job scheduler.

In printer selection you can setup that user for that report to print to a certain printer.

Make sure the user under which the job scheduler runs the report have that printer installed.

Thanks, the setrange command worked. I suspect the printer option would work as well. can Navision print to a file?

You can print your report as a pdf for everyone to see

Navision can print to whatever drivers you have installed. PDF, Document Image, whatever.
