4.0SP3 or 5.0 with SQL Server (Swiss version)?

Hello,

We want to do an upgrade of a Swiss 3.7 with SQL2000. What do you think would be the best idea.

Go for the 4.0SP3 or wait for the release of the Swiss 5.0 and go for this one, in both cases with SQL2005?

What do you think is best and why?

Switzerland localization is expected to be release in July. I probably would wait and upgrade to that release. Don't forget that you need upgrade toolkit and that tool will be only released in July or August.

NAV 5.0 has some nice new features and its better optimized for SQL. If you have a large database you will notice performance improvements.

SQL Server 2005 it's a better version that SQL 2000

It depends if the changes in NAV 5.0 will be used. Of course, NAV 5.0 is more optimized for SQL, it means you will gain some performance by doing upgrade to NAV 5.0 instead 4.00SP3.
