Hi,

I've got a client who uses remote front-end data collection devices. Historically, these devices have uploaded Access database files to a central server over the phone line.

We now want to connect these devices to Navision. What is the best vs easiest vs least expensive way to have Navision automatically pick up and process data received via modem and/or internet?

easiest and cheapest way would be text files.... I think.

    Unless I misunderstood you question!

    Eromein,

    Thanks for your help.

And how would you recommend getting the server to routinely pick up the text files? I see a TimerInterval property for forms, but this won't help, as I want the server to handle this without a visible interface.

The Navision Application Server seems to make sense, and it makes reference to a timer, but provides very little documentation.

    Any ideas?
