Where to put XML Schema Definition references

Hi,
I am generating XML files using the XML Document Manager i Navision Attain. I have to add a local reference to some schema definition files (.xsd). It is not possible to make them available online, which would be the simplest solution.
It's probably pretty simple, but I am not sure what to do. Can somebody help me please? Thx.
