I think it has to do with one of the Windows updates that's automatically installed. I go the same problem as well but am unable to locate the exact KB that's causing the problem.
Has anyone experienced this same issue? perhaps anyone found a workaround? or that one exact KB?

At one company, it worked OK accessing Navision with remote desktop, but would crash otherwise. I do not know what was different in the remote desktop environment that caused it to work.
If anyone comes up with the solution, I would like to know.
