Whereby can I use the contract/sevice discount!

I want discount to serviceitem-group, but it isn't work!

How have you got your discount setup in the contact?

when you specify the Service Item Group in the Discount table it will look at the Service Item Group of the Service ITem being serviced to determine if there should be a discount given.

EG

If you Setup a Contact Discoount for the Service Item Group CD-ROM and give 25%.

You then Setup a service order for a Service Item on that contract and link the Service Order to the Contract.

The Service Item has a Serivce Item Group of SERVER.

Even if you use an Item that has a Service Item Group of CD-ROM you will get no discount.

However if you were to set up a Contract Discoount on the same contract for Service ITem Group SERVER and give 20% and then recreate the Service Invoice Line on the order you will get a discount of 20%.

I try, but it doesn' work!
I try with serviceitem-group; resource gorup and cost!
with resource and cost worked, but with serviceitem-group didn't!

what is the problem with?

Can you let me know the following

1) What have you got in the Discounts table for the Service Item Group? 2) What is the Service Item Group of the Service Item you are trying to use? 3) What Version are you using?

I tired on both 3.60 and 4.00 and 5.00 and they all appear to work the same way
