Can anyone tell me if the "in stock" qty can be filtered by location on a production order material requistion.
I currently have picking lists for our production showing total stock that are in all our other locations, I wish only to show stock in our location.

Do you mean order planning opened from production order ? or just production order component open from production order line ?
for order planning, the system will not show in stock qty.
In production order component, you must add new field inventory in the table of production order components. one production order will have one certain location so you could create field inventory.

I mean on a production order line, the inventory is shown for all locations I only want to show one location.

I have made it and that's why I said you could. It shows only stocks in the location required by production order.

In the Material requisition report you can easily filter the inventory for the location which is equivalent to the component of that particular production order line. Just pick the location from the component line and run the report of material requisition for that particular component location. You may have to use the array to achieve this.
I still cannot understand how I can get the printed material requistion report, which is what the guy has in his hand to walk around the stores, to show what should be in stock in his location. The problem is if on his picking list the inventory is 2off and he only sses 1off he may alter inventory to 1off, when the actually the other 1off is in another location, his picking list does not show this.
How can I filter his picking list.

On the first you said:-
Now you are saying:-
Will you be please brief in detail what you require??
My assumption :
If you want to filter the picking list of a certain production order component, it means every picking lists only have a single location from a certain production order status and due date.
if it is so, you could use prod. order - picking list (production order --> click line button --> click component --> click print button). Automatically, it will filter the location in which production order exists only if you add location filter field in the production order component table, but if not, you can't find the location filter field.
Properties of Location filter is
fieldclass : flowfilter
table relation : location
Datatype : code
etc..
it seems I just use many conditional if in this message
