Interest Calculation for Accounts other than customer/vendor

Hi,

Is there any provison to calculate interest based on predefined period (Day/Week/Month/Year) on accounts created in Chart of Accounts in NAVISION Finance Module.

Please suggest.

What kind of interest are you talking about? What G/L accounts would you like to hit? How is the interest to be calculated?

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. This is very basic requirement for Accounting person to calculate interest on ledger selected for an account. The interest normally based on 365 days calculations based on the predefined parameters such as Month, Days.

As far as I know there is no functionality available in NAV 4.0 to calculate interest on G/L account.

Yep... there's no out of the box function that calculate interest on the G/L. Ususally, interest is calculated on overdue balances, bank interest, and loans. The overdue balance interest can be calculated by Navision, however, the bank interest is usually what's written on the statement.
