Dynamics NAV Developer's Toolkit v2.0 SP3 (build 291)
Dynamics NAV Developer’s Toolkit is the one, integrated tool that helps Microsoft Business Solutions Certified Partners to maintain, customize and upgrade Microsoft Dynamics NAV..

It helps partners work faster and with accuracy, thanks to the direct link between the Navision development environment and the toolkit. While analyzing or upgrading Navision, you simply switch between screens as you work. Its well-laid out and color-coded graphical user interface gives you a clear, in-depth picture of all the elements you are working with, application code, and relations between objects.

The Dynamics NAV Developers Toolkit, including tools for Source Analysis, as well as a Compare and Merge tool.

New Features in this build:

Compatibility to Navision 4.0 SP3
C/FRONT DLL of Navision 4.0 SP 3 added
Database Objects of Navision 4.0 SP 3 as Backup (DevTool.fbk) added.

Compatibility to Windows Vista
New SQL-DLL added to enumerate available SQL Servers on Windows Vista.
New HTML-Help Format used, because Vista doesn’t support .HLP anymore.

Unknown object types
Unknown object types are ignored during import.

New structure of Help
Developer’s Toolkit Help has been restructured to be more task-oriented.

is it okay if i restore the devtool.fbk in Nav 5 SP 1?

    Yes, it is ok.

You need to configure the toolkit to use C/FRONT in a version matching your database version in order to use it.

    I'm using Nav 5 SP 1
    but I restore devtool.fbk from Dynamics NAV Developer's Toolkit v2.0 SP3 (build 291)
but after i restore it and then i opened using devtool.exe
    it cannot be opened...

    if I choose Database Authentication
    Database Error : 1048
    You Have Not Selected Database!
    Database Error : 1046

But if I choose Windows Authentication
The database cannot be opened using this version of Microsoft Business Solutions Navision
you must upgrade version to the latest version to open the database
