Direct Posting option in G/L Account CARD

Sir,

I want to know what would be the difference if I tick or untick the Direct Posting while creating new G/L account.

If you do not mark the direct posting , the system will stop the usage of the account in the Journals. The account will be used only during the system created entry. For E.g. Customer Posting Account, Vendor Posting Account , Purchase Account, Sales Account. In other words direct posting is used for defining the accounts where no direct entry is passed where integration exist with other modules.
