problem in report

hello friends,
actually i am having a prroblem in reporting.
in report no 202, i am trying to call salesline.tax%.
but the data is not getting picked up there.
the reports shows 0.00 there.
when i call the same at any part of report header, the data is getting displayd there, only in case of footer it is showing 0.00.
ahd due to this, i am not able to modify tax.
pls suggest me, how to tackle this.
i am very new to this field...
