Hi guys,
We are working on Nav 3.7. Recently we got a new pc with windows vista on it. i tried to install the client on this pc and it doesn't work.
I want to know, is 3.7 compatible with win-vista if not then what is the solution how do we run this on a vista machine.
thanks

The man who can own up to his error is greater than he who merely knows how to avoid making it.

Navision 3.7 isn't compatible with Windows Vista.0

Is NAV 5.0 released for your country?
My advise to all customers in order to prepare for the future is to upgrade in small steps.
A technical upgrade to 5.0 can be an exelent first step since it also allowes you to run Vista and you'll know that the runtime works on your systems.
Second step should be to do a full upgrade with functionality.
Third step is a SQL migration if you are not running on SQL yet.
After that you are fully prepared for the future in which Dynamics NAV is heading.

1) there are threads about the compatibility with Vista on this forum with all the answers...
2) No, 3.70 is not compatible and will be not supported under Vista
3) Just NAV 4.00SP3 + compatibility patch or NAV 5.0 are compatible.
4) You can use Virtual PC to run the client, or Terminal Services or Citrix.0
