send a parameters from outside of Navision

How can I send a parameters from outside of Navision then run a codeunit?

Hello Oneway.
A simple way to do this. To create a table in navision. insert your records into this table. Have NAS setup to monitor the table and run your codeunit.

Sorry! I may not express very clearly.

what i want to do is key in a code from web then send this code to the navision and let navision to validate it send the message back to the web wether it correct or not.

eg. using a PDA to log on a web then I key in an item No. then the system back the information to me it's a navision item or not.

do you guys have any idea to do this?

I see you need to use MS message queue. Send xml documents back and forth. take a look at how commerce portal does it.

You will learn how to create webservice and exchange data between NAV and external application through webservices. One good thing is that when error in NAV is called (for example during validation etc.) this error is returned back to the caller application and you can show the user exactly same error text like you will get in NAV. The document includes the example code for NAV and VS2005.
