how to incorporate the changes in hotfix 7 for nav 4.0 sp1

we r trying to update the clients objects with the hotfix provided by microsoft for new excise and cess.
issue 1 - If we blindly inport the fixes into customized database the whole customization is lost if u chose replace option and if we chose merge with existing then system throws the error that u don't have license to create the new objects bcoz the new objects have some new fields in objects with number series 16000.

the only soln we see is taking the hotfix on a base db and do all the customization from scratch as it is ..but it seems a damm tedious task.

issue 2- we tried merging objects with dev toolkit too. but after we exported out the new merged database in txt format and tried importing that on a base db again the same user license prob came.

does anyone have any soln for this prob ...or they can tell us the way they implemented this new hotfix 7 for new excise tax and cess

You need a fob with the new fields in. When importing, choose merge existing<-New.

Now, the question is: how to create that fob, because you get errors. Here's a tip: create a new db, with the hotfix. Filter on you tables. Delete ALL code and variables in these tables. Save and compile. Export these tables, and import THIS fob with merge Existing<-New. you fields are now created. now, take your txt file (which you already have) and overwrite the tables.

    Good Luck
