while posting from purchase order receive and invoice takes a lot of time , can any any one suggest a solution for the problem. I have tried using Database- information - tables - optimize Database used is native.
Not a lot of things that I know of, but if you have analysis views that update on posting, this can slow things down, especially on the sales order side
We have found purchase order receiving is a very intrusive routine. it will lock tables needed for sales order posting. so our sales people are constantly complaining about being locked by userid ....., it is always comes back to they were receiving a po. We have moved times that people can do receiving to a slow sales period.
In this forum there are many topics about that subject. It depends a lot on your current configuration and other settings.
Search this forum if one of the many answer can fit to your problem.
sorry but searching the forum is more art then science, I searched for PO posting is slow, that return 40 pages of search results having little to nothing related to the search.
then I did the same search but said to match all terms, it returned one page of listings, off which had little to do with the "po posting slow"
I think a few of the post where suggestions to search the forum for the solution.
sorry about the rant, but saying search the forum, rather then adding something constructive does little to help anybody.
