I personally do not like the functionality of Business Notifications in Navision.

I am wondering if anyone else knows of a product that works with SQL that will allow me to:

1. Send email notifications when an event happens.
2. Be able to have a trigger for If "A" happens then go update "B".

If anyone knows of a product they have used I would appreciate some advice.

i recently implemented such a thing for our customer. it features daily notifications and real time notifications. here a example how it works:

if the customer changes the field "expected receipt date" in a purchase order, the system checks linked sales orders, which will be postponed, and sends a notify to the assigned sales person via mail including a link to start the sales order in navision directly from outlook. the main advantage is, that there is no programming required so far. this is just an example. is this something you are looking for?

Yes this does sound like what I am looking for. Did you design it or is it a third party product that I can take a look at it?

@jonon: maybe we will sell it as a tool or publish it freely for microsoft dynamics nav, but first, i have to clean the code a little bit. i can keep you up to date, if you wish it.
