What you describe seems to be an access to either 1 company or all companies. What if you only need to access company A and B, but not C, D, E, F, etc?
I tried doing this by adding a | (pipe)-symbol between company names in the user setup, but that didn't work...
Rules for user use key User, Role, Company. So you have to repeat user role assignment for all companies that you wish user can access. If you leave Company field blank, user can access all companies.

In user security choose company.

Just saw what you mean.
Just to be sure, must I define the companies that the user may have acess to as well as those the user shouldn't, right?
If it's filled with a company, than applies only to that company.
If a user don't have any role at a specific company , than we can't see that company.
