Hi

I am facing a problem on SQL option of Navision. The client is using the database for last 1 year without any problem. Now suddenly it is behaving in a weird manner. When you post any transaction from any module, the Navision Client of the machine gets hang. When you close the Navision Client from Task Manager and reopen again. The system shows the transaction in posted transactions and the data is also consistent.

Navision Version - 3.70
SQL Version - SQL Server 2000 SP3

There was no code change in last 1 month.

Please help!

Is "posting process" joined with some print - Navision can only wait for printer which is not currently available.

    Hi Lubust

No, The problem is coming in all the modules - Sales,Purchase,Inventory and GL. There is no printing process involved.

    Thanks and Regards

I think that you have to run code in debugger and find the place where code hangs.

Does this problem involve all users?

I have a customer with very similar problems but it is confined to a single client.
Have to keep deleting the zup file to resolve it.

    Greetings,
There are 3 main information needed:

    01) Which Dynamics NAV client are you using? 3.7A or 3.7B?
    02) Are the users running the client from a shared folder, or they have it installed locally?
    03) Is the MSSQL Server 2000 working with SP4?

There are common issues regarding the problem you're having, but the information above is important to define wich way to go.

    Regards,
