Payroll and Vacation

Is there a preferred way of creating a payroll control system that accounts for years served?
I have a client that wishes to create a scale for vacation and sick hours based upon how long they have been employed. For instance. If you have worked less than 8 years you will gain 3.08 hours bi-weekly with a 40 hour maximum carry over for the year. If you have worked 8-15 years you will accumulate 4.62 hours bi-weekly with a maximum carry over of 60 hours and if you work for more than 15 years you will gain 6.16 hours bi-weekly with a maximum of 80 hours carry over for the year.

They wish to accomodate for this with similar calculations for sick time. If anyone can lead me in the correct direction, it would be appreciated

Not directly, you can set up the vacation accrue payroll control fine, but you have to set the employee rate manually on the employe rate file.

You could set up a processing only report that you run on a regular basis to update the employee vacation rate, based on the years of service. and since people only hit anniversary dates once a year, this is probably a better approach then trying to run the calculation every time you do a payroll.
