Requested Receipt Date in Req. Worksheet....good idea?

My fellow workers who is work with purchase have a wish that they want to see field Requested Receipt Date in Req. Worksheet so they can
fill it with date they want in Req. Worksheet. Then the Requested Receipt Date in Req. Worksheet shall follow to the purchase order when they
create Purchase order.
Is it a wise idea to fill theirs wish with Requested Receipt Date in Req. Worksheet or shall I change theirs mind?? :-k

I think that it is not good idea, because date in Req. worksheet have a lot dependencies concerning setting on item card. Navision calculates the date of need according to planned issues, deliveries etc.
