Permission Defining Process in Navision..

hi,

the process of permission defining in navision is very typical.
mostly it requires a lot of customization too.
most of the modules as security filters are not working properly.
i have to define a lot of security over data and user.
is there any other way through which i can go.


pls tell me.as i think it should be already there in ERP.
but may be i am missing something.

And you dont think its smart that permissions are data related and not code-related?

And what is it you think does not work properly?
