Payroll - Changing From Weekly To Monthly

When an employee changes over from Weekly pay to Monthly are there specific things that need to be done. A particluar employee has changed over and his payroll group and pay frequency have been changed to Monthly. However in pay details when i try to calculate his pay for the month nothing is generated. No error occurs and it says the pay has been caluculated but the ledger entries show as zero. Can anyone help?
