hi all,

my client has 6 banches and each are working as a seperate
unit.they recieve stock transfer and then they sell.
they are managind seperate books also.
for this i have created branches as global dim.
but the problem is that with stock transfer we are simple placing entry
in A/c described in inventory post. group.
we want that it should be treated like purchase invoice
to branches.all the heads(purchase and excise) are to be effected through stock transfer

how can i manage it.

Why do you want to differentiate branches twice (location code and dimension)? You only need to create separate g/l account for branches location codes.

I agree with the solution. In COA you must define seperate accounts for each brances for each head of COA. If this do not give you the best solution then you may opt for responsibility centers. But In my opinion above is sufficient to give you the solution.
