Is it so that, it's not possible in the default functionality but we can develop an object.

I guess this could be done, through some pretty complicated programming. I would suggest looking at a product called Thunderstone. The guys at Thunderstone were really some of the grandfathers of Search, and power sites like the Wall Street Journal, and some of the largest web sites in the world, but they also have products like their search appliance that will allow to search structured data sets in SQL.
You could create a control that opened up a search window from Navision, then provide url links back to Navision with returned data sets like pointers to an Invoice card, or a filtered list of customers, etc.*************************************

Usually if your looking for something in Navision you would already know if it has to do with a customer, vendor or an item for example.
Which will make finding it using filters pretty easy.
Do you have an example of why you might need something like this??
my G/l entries are in the billions imagine you added in item ledger entries & vales entries - that would talk a long long long time to complete & i'm only talking about 3 tables.0 -
In the CRM granules, there's is such a search function where it searches all the fields for the keywords. Perhaps, you can start from there?Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog

somebody from this gp. asked that what is the need of search.
the answer is simple.
suppose a cust/vendor wants to know that where is o/p journal(say),then he should have the facility to search.
and it is common that users are not fully aware of the navision functionality.

That should be covered using F10

You really should not try to short cut training by code.
have you considered Navigate?David Singleton0
