I'd run the report wizard for the table you want to group and total, and assign the right fields to both groups and totals. Then add a new dataitem above it, indent the existing dataitem and link it to the new one. You should be able to play around with the sections enough to make that work.

The only problem is that like I said there are 2 dataitems (Fixed Asset & FA Ledger Entry) already indented in the report. The dataitem that must be inserted above (FA Posting Group) can only be linked to the 2nd indented dataitem (FA Ledger Entry)
Well then you can start a new report and see if you can make it work there. I'm just telling you how I approach grouping and totaling. Sometimes you have to start a new report to copy stuff from there, or apply what you have already done to another report to that new one.

The only problem is that like I said there are 2 dataitems (Fixed Asset & FA Ledger Entry) already indented in the report. The dataitem that must be inserted above (FA Posting Group) can only be linked to the 2nd indented dataitem (FA Ledger Entry)
