Login ID

Dear All,

I have set certain User IDs on SQL server option of Navision. All the user names are in CAPITAL. Now, when I log in the system, I am writting my name in lower case letters and it is appearing in lower case in Navision window where usual login ID appears.

I think, this is not the case with standard navision. On local database, i have made one database login and irrespective whether my login is in lower csae or uppercase, the login on Navision window appears in CAPITAL.

What is the reason for this?

    The reason is that Nav is using type Code for the USERID. It is why the characters are in Uppercase. In some cases, the dialog box can use text type instead code and this mean that the text will be as you wrote it.

    Dear Kine,

    Thanx for the reply. The user ids setup on SQL server is also in CAPITAL. I found this behaving differently for local database and SQL server option.
