Hi

I want to run Employee Portal for NAV4.0 SP2, build 23099.
NAS and Employee Portal Components are installed on our server Machine(Win 2003 Server), and Navision Database Server is on my work machine(Win XP Professional). I was able to normal connect to the Cronus USA Demo Web Parts, I was able to create and modify for example customers from web.
But now I can not connect/Modify Navision standard web parts.

I got such error message on web:

Communication error (10114): No reply received from Back End System (Time Out).

Any suggestion/ideas?

Thank you.

    1) Check your NAS that the service is running
    2) check the event log on the PC where it is running for errors and warnings
    3) check that you are not blocking the connection with some firewall.

    Hi....

Better you Run NAS through Command Prompt so that you can find out the error.

    All,

I have resolved my problem, the reason is Windows Message Queueing.
I have changed my Windows Private queues properties, and then forgot to change them back.

    Thanks,

    Hi...

I am using 4.0 SP2 with SQL. In that I have configured Security Filter (For Example Customer Filter). Its working well whem i am opening Navision. But in Employee Portal.

Its showing all the Records. Security filters are not applied there. Could anybody give me a solution for that.

I want to filter records as per my windows login ID. I can give filters in Roles.

    1) It will be better for you to open new thread for this. It is not good to continue in thread of someone else with own question.

    2) The sec. filters are not applied because all data are read under NAS account...

Could you give me a idea to Filter Records like Security Filter. So that i can use. Otherwise I have to move Web Services.

In (Web Services) that also I dont know Concurrent user will take or not ? Web Services is working under NAS. Every webuser will treat as user or how ?

    Hi all,
I am facing the same problem in Modifying the shared document.
First before modifying shared document, the EVEVT VIEWER is showing me the desc as follows :

The description for Event ID ( 20010 ) in Source ( WIN2K3R2EE-CLASSIC ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: The Application Server for Microsoft Dynamics NAV WIN2K3R2EE-CLASSIC started with the following configuration:
    Database Server Name = WIN2K3R2EE
    Database =
Company = Paradigm Inc - TESTING
    Startup Parameter = NEP-1

When I am going to modify it, it's showing me the event description:

    Event ID 10131
    Cannot retrieve site information.

and in site it is showing me the error 10114 with the message as reply received from Back End System (Time Out).

    Can anybody help me?
    Please.

    Thanks in advance.
