What if not using Defualt website???

Please suggest while installing the EP if we dont want to use the default website then how we should continue setting up the EP. I mean to say If I enter the target path asked during EP installation to say 'C:/Sanjeev' then what should be typed in the site URL. if I type and arbitrary name like 'http:/Machine name/Mypage.aspx then what will hapen. Do I have to configure certain things if so then where???

Hi,

i do not understand your question. It is quite easy:
In SharePoint you have different sites (NOT ASPX Pages!!!!). Each site has to run under a different IP address OR under the same IP but with different ports.
During the installation you have to select the portal URL and the folder of this site. To find the folder just open the IIS manager and go to the Home Directory of the Web Site.

Hi,
Actually before installing EP I have created the Website under the Sharepoint services under a folder 'C:\EP' the Website name is EP. Now When I am insalling the EP at last then I am giving path of c:/EP and the website URL as 'http://' only.
I don't understand that what is the URL if I am creatying the website trhough Sharepoint services in MyComputer->Manage.
How will I Identify the URL? I have little knowledge on Web issues.
