Do you mean "when printed" or do you mean when Queued. If you mean when printed, then I think thats impossible. It has been discussed often, both here and on www.dynamicsusers.org and I never saw a solution. Sorry.

If there is a solution, it would be hardware based, and probably cost more than its worth.

If all you want is date and time to print on the report, you can add controls to your section output using TODAY for date and TIME for time, formatted accordingly, as the source expressions.

    Is this what you mean?
    kind of fell into this...

It really depends if munni is trying to do what he asked i.e. "when the report Prints" or if he really meant when the report was run. I was assuming he meant what he posted :D

    semantics shemantics :P .

could he not put the date and time in the last footer section of the report. this section only gets called at the very end (theoretically when it prints unless it is previewed first) and should get the date/time the report finished? likewise, putting it in the first section would show when it started?

edit: no offense intended! i understand what you are saying now.

The issue is when jobs are print spooled to run at nights and on weekends. To some businesses this is all irrelevant, so it is just semantics, but to some companies there is an importatn difference. Anyway use the search and find the old thread, I can't rememeber where it was, but either.
