MMC Snap-in - Navision Database Server

Hi,

I've successfully setup a Navision Attain 3.60 native database service and everything is running fine. However I'd like to be able to use the MMC snap-in to configure the settings but I just can't get the snap-in to work. It allows me to add the Navision snap-in to the console window but it doesn't respond to any mouse clicks. Other snap-ins work fine.

I originally had an initialisation error when trying to use it but I cured this by re-registering the MSXML.DLL/MSXML3.DLL files (a tip I found in these forums). Now I just don't get any messages.

The server is Windows 2003 SP1.

Any help appreciated.

Jonathan

Well ... if I'm not mistaken.
Officially, W2K3 doesn't support the 3.60 database, but I have tested it myself and on my server, all works fine ... so that shouldn't be the case. Did you try it with 3.70 (just to test)?

    try this:

click "once" on the snapin you have created . Click action then new "Navision database server manager" This will open a window which will need you to input the Host Name (domain) and the service name (computer name) once you have done that it will allow you to change the cache, stop/start the service etc.....

    Hope that helps
