Reservation Entry Error

LiyanLiyan Member Posts: 9
Hi,

Currently, my customer faces the error below when doing posting:

"The Reservation Entry does not exist. Identification fields and values: Entry No. = '126817', positive='Yes'"

Has anyone experienced this problem before? Any resolutions for this issue?

Thanks for any help offered. :)

Cheers,
Liyan

That's a tough one. What is the client trying to post?

run the reservation table and look for

    Entry No. = '126817', positive='No' entry.

What kind of entry is it? can you paste the line?

Is the item serialized, lot tracked, automatic reservation?

    Hi,

The problem occurs when posting Sales Order or Purchase Order etc.

Here are some examples of the reservation entries:

Entry No. Source Type Positive Item No. Location Code Quantity (Base) Reservation Status Transferred from Entry No. Source Subtype Source ID
    120998 37 No M-00725724AM GEMBIRA -3,500 Tracking 0 1 SOM2006-000411
    120998 5741 Yes M-00725724AM GEMBIRA 3,500 Tracking 0 1 TO-10-01620

    133350 5407 No ZC8150-00010 GEMBIRA -1,419 Tracking 0 3 PROD0602269
    133350 39 Yes ZC8150-00010 GEMBIRA 1,419 Tracking 0 1 17511

    144500 37 No M-00725724AM GEMBIRA -3,500 Tracking 0 1 SOM2006-000411
    144500 39 Yes M-00725724AM GEMBIRA 3,500 Tracking 0 1 17511

For the entry no. 120998, there would not be any problem of posting the transfer order with the same reservation entry no. if the sales order with the same reservation entry no. is posted first as the reservatio entry no. would be deleted from the table. However, if user were to post the transfer order first, then the message prompted would be :

"reservation entry no. 120998 does not exist", entry no. 120998 positive = yes"

If we look into the table and look for entry no. 120998, the entry no. does exist except that the first entry found by system was positive = 'no'.

Hope someone will be able to give some light to this issue.

    Thanks lots.

    Cheers,
    Liyan

    Hi!

    Nice to hear from you.

My users are facing exactly the same problem. But I dont
know at what moment one of the reservation entry gets deleted.

If you have any idea about this then pls let me know, I think we
can post this issue to Microsoft support center for permanant solution.

Ofcourse not. Nobody knows. You have to try and reproduce the beahviour and then try to reproduce the business case on a standard NAV database. If you can reproduce, create a support request at MBS. If not start digging into the code, but you probably know that the code is almost impossible to understand.
