G/L account name field extent

I want to change G/L account name field extent from 30 to 50,I want to know which table and field need to change extent.

    Dear Friend,

    It is not advisable to change the the field length as this will need change in lot of reports/codeunits/forms and you will have to spend a lot of time in the same.

    Instead you can have a new field there and can make it flow in the required posting and reports.

    That is correct. There are a lot of posts about increasing lengths and all of them advice adding a new field.
