Short description of how to create use a search webpart ??

hi everyone,

im trying make a search webpart working. i wanted to start with a simple thing; doing a search for customers and display the result in a card webpart (i thought this had to be simple).
But it wouldnt work.
I defined the ep search table, search table configuration etc.
But the the problem that i don´t know if i defined it correctly. At least it doesn´t work...
(One of my problems is an error after i entered the search string at started the search: (Navision error (10500): This message is for C/AL programmers: Could not invoke the member appendChild. The OLE control or Automation server returned an unknown error code.
)

So, can anyone give me a description of how to create such a search webpart (with the configurations in navision and the sharepoint).

I would also be happy if anyone tell me if there is some kind of documentation for this. I haven´t found anything except the w1w1ep.pdf documet, but that doesn´t say a word about defining search webparts.

Any (!!) help would be greatly appreciated.... THANKS!

Search for this document (NAV_EmployeePortalDS.doc) on Partement source and you will definetly find it.

The above document is a Demoscript and has two scenarios which covers most of the things, we can do in Employee Portal.
