Hi,
When I use a job No. in a financial journal, I get the message that the job No may not be used in this journal. This is a check in CU11.
I need to use the job No, even if this has no influence on the job ledger entries, because I have linked four dimensions to the job card. If I post via a fin. journal, I only have a GL account/customer/vendor account to link to my dimensions, but this is not sufficient. If I use the job no., the dimensions from the job card are automatically inserted on my fin. journal line.
I can avoid this by putting this line of code in CU11 in comment, but is there any risk that this will have an influence on other objects?

You mentioned 4 dimensions, so I think You use Attain 3.x. I worked in a project where using Job No. in G/L journals was implemented, but it was 2.6. If you interested I can send the code.
I think the testfield("Job No.", ''); line in CU11 is just to prevent claims such as Job No. was used, but no job ledger entry created. I think you can simly comment out this line.

I would be very pleased if you could send me the code you mentionned.
(tried to send you a private message, but it bounced).
