Dear All
I am setting up the Roles & Securities for one of my client in Bangalore in india. Everything is going fine except one thing i.e Periodic Activities & Setup is visible for all users , i dont which table & form i need to set up for that.

Please help.

Hi Paul,

Where are u getting this periodic activities& setup?I'm not clear about the Q anyways u can always block the system tables for the setups.Hope it helps :-k

If you're using 4.0, then you can simply take it out of their menus.

Could you tell me how to do this?

I know how to hide it from their menu, but I don't want to login as the user to hide the items they don't have to see.

tools->Navigation Pane designer->Right click on a menu and select assign user. Uncheck the users you don't want to see it.

Wow... some things in life are really simple

I just feel a little stupid that I couldn't figure that out..


One thing I wonder:

I this really secure? I can imagine that by just blocking the menu, one still can try to get data out of the tables as this might still be allowed.

This is just to make it easier for people to go where they are suppose to. You still need to setup security.

In navision you can navigate through out the whole system from an item card.
