Data conversion problem with Excel automation objects

Hello,
I made a development using Excel automation server in order to get some data from Excel worksheets into Navision. Everything seems ok until I get an error concerning a data conversion. I'm warned that text could not be converted to date. The entry on the Excel sheet is a legitimate entry but Navision doesn't accept its value.
Is it possible that date/time settings of the working machine affects the process in any way? For example, does a local setting of date as yyyy/dd/mm (2006/01/12) on the server change anything for client application?
