After making an upgrade of our client to version 4.0 some tools in Windows Xp SP2 stops working. For examples : the search tools in the start menu ( file misssing ) or the help don't works anymore ( Script error in IE ). MSC.exe is still working but no way to run gpedit.msc for example.

I don't think it is a problem created by Navision.
It looks more like that Windows went nuts.
I am afraid you will have to re-install Windows.

But if I reinstall 3.6 everythings goes fine. No more problem with XP and I've tested that on 6 computers

Does it work if you have ONLY XP and Navision installed?

In this case some other program gets in conflict with Navision 4.

There were document with name "Microsoft Management Console (MMC) fails after uninstalling Navision Attain 3.60.doc" on old KB. The result of all what was there was this:

    After uninstalling 3.60 you need to re-register library MSXML.DLL in SYSTEM32 folder ('REGSVR32.EXE MSXML.DLL').

I haven't tried with just Xp and Navision. I've tried with Office (with MUI) installed too.
Thank you for this information concerning the registration of the dll. I'll try this and let you know.
