Can someone please explain the difference between the RUN and RUNMODAL commands and under what circumstances would you use one or the other.

RUN: The form is opened and you can still go back to what you were doing on the previous form (if RUN is called to open a form from a form)
RUNMODAL: The form will be opened and you cannot return to the previous form until the MODAL form is closed.
This isn't a signature, I type this at the bottom of every message

Also good to know that Navision will balk if you try to open a MODAL form when you have a record lock in place. You need to clear all your locked tables (use COMMIT) to open a MODAL form in the middle of processing transactions.
