Bank Reconcilitation!

I have a question. We had a check for 4,000.00. When it cleared the bank it only cleared for 1,000.00 The bank corrected the error but the correction was done it October (I am trying to reconcile September). How do I partially clear this check so that the remaining amount shows in October? Thanks so much!

In the US version, there should be field called Cleared Amount where you can type in the amount that was cleared.

I have done that before but it does not show up the next month.

Post the reconcilaton with the difference amount. when the bank rectifed the account post the same with the rectified in the next month.

Hi, you will need to enter the the difference as an adjustment for the next period.
