Item-Tracking - Expiration Date Problem

Hello,

I am using NAV 4.0 sp2.
In Purchase order I fill in item-tracking -> Lot number + expiration date. I post it and the Item ledger entry contains Lot number + expiration date.

In Sales order, I fill in the item-tracking -> select the Lot number and expiration date. I post the sales order. However, the result item ledger entry does not contain "Expiration date".

Is there anyway I can retrieve the "Expiration Date" from post sales order?

    it's a bug. You need to submit it to MS. Also check sp3 maybe they've fixed it.

    You will see the expiration date only in the item tracking entries of the posted sales invoice. One sales item ledger entry can apply to several purchase item tracking entries ( even if it is the same lot no.). Since these may have different expiration dates it is not possible to copy a date to the sales entry. This would only be possible in the special case that it is a 1:1 relationship or the dates of all purchase item ledger entries are identical. But then some sales item ledger entries would have expiration dates, others wouldn't.
