Sales Budget per Customer - reports?

maheuppmaheupp Member Posts: 13
Hi,
if I create a Sales Budget for a Customer and want to follow up the budget versus tha actual result - does anyone know if this is possible without using gr 4230 (Analysis Reports)? The form Sales Budget Overview does only show my budget.

With Analysis Reports I can create Sales Analysis Lines for every customer, is this the only way?

Another question:
In Analysis by Dimensions - why isn´t Customer an option under Show as Lines - why only Item and Location?

Best regards, Maria :-k

    Hello Mary,

    1) You could use the Item Dimensions-Total Report that has an option for budget selection but only if you have selected a "Column Template Name" that has budget figures. A part of the help on that report follows:
Item Budget Name: This field is used if you have specified a column template in the Column Template Name field that includes budget figures. Here you can select the budget that the report will be based on.

    2) AFAIK this is the only way to do it, by using the analysis reports...

    3) Because that is the way it is designed... Items, Locations and dimensions...

    Wellcome to mibuso...

    Thanks for your answer.

The problem with the Item Dimension reports is that they doesn´t specify my customers (once again not an option :-) and that is what I want.
My budget is registred on customer only, not on items.

    Regarding granule Analysis Reports;
If I understand it correctly it gives me the possibility to register Lines. (The column Templates are also includes in granule Advanced Dimensions). And I´m also able to create reports using Analysing View Transactions as well as Value Entries.
Without this granule it´s not possible to compare Saled Budget - Result for my customers using standard functionality.

I have never done this before, but with a quick check you could make an Analysis Report with a line template as customer and in the line template setup you can go to Functions-> Insert Customers and import all your customers, so that you can check their actual value with the budgeted on the Analysis Reports.

I don't think that the Line Template as a customer is in a different granule, have you tried it?

I have done exactly as you have described it and I aslo think that this is the only way to do it to get the customers as lines.

I only wanted to know if this was possible any other way, that is without the granule Analysis Reports.

    Thanks for your input!

    Best regards,

    Hi maria

I can't think of any other way to do that, except by custom reports or forms that uses that budget and data from the posted, but it is very similar, so I guess you should use what is already there...

Of course you can also print an analysis report by using the 7112 report (there is also a Print button on the Analysis report form that executes that report)

You believe that all this functionality covers your needs?

    Hi again,

Your conclusions are the same as mine. I just wanted to make sure that I didn´t miss anything.

We have a customer that are in the process of implementing Advanded Dimensions and wants to create reports that presents figures of Sales (Customer) Budgets, Results per Salesperson, Region, Customer etc.
I work with customer support and he asked me if this is possible.
None of our customers are using Sales budget and Analysis Reports today so I´m a novise in that area.

The Item Dimension - Total report is perfect with the possibility to use Dimensions with level specifications and also your own Column Templates and Item Budgets. The only thing I miss is the customerspecification.

Analysis Reports may be the answer or a modified report.

Once again - thanks for your input!
