Dimension and Inventory Posting Group missing in NAV

Hi,

In Attain it was possible to register Dimensions on Inventory Posting Groups. (As well as using that table in Default Dimension Priorities for related Source Codes such as INVTPCOST).

In 4.0 this isn´t possible anymore. Does anyone of you have the knowledge of why??

It was probably a modification. In attain it was possible to do it based on item category code. Basically you would have default dim on item category which would copy ot the item.

:oops: , we were convinced that it was a standard feature, but you are absolutely right - it was a modification...

It's allright. I've ran into things like that as well. I used to add State to Post code table so that it would update when you populated the zip or city on customer, vendor record. I was talking to a client about it that it was standard navision and looked in sp2 and the field was not there.
I swear that the field was there in one of the versions, I don't know which, but it was there.
