Problems installing Navision on Windows 2003 Server OS

kdhmainkdhmain Member Posts: 4
hi,

Pls i'm having some problems installing Navision 4.0 SP1 Database server on a Windows 2003 Server release 2 OS. After installation, the database service just wont start. It keeps giving an error message about an "Incorrect function". Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do. Thanks.

Try to start the server via the commandpropmt, this usualy gives more detailed messages.

Do you have enough free memory?

    Just a guess:
Did you change the "log on as" of the service (properties of the service)? I think you'll have to change it from "Network Service" to "Local System".

u just un install the navision server.
    then install it again.
when installing the server put server name
    then set connection=tcp
then give the path of u r personal license
then set the path of database which u r using
    then on compliting the installation
    put servername=servername
    dont put the database name.
