Auto Synch Period

Dear Sirs.
I'm working with SQL Server 2000 and Navision 3.60
Well the problem it's that when more than one user are seeing the same information and one of them make a change in the details of the customer, for example, the other user doesn't see the updated information imeadiately.
I had navigate and found that the problem is in the Auto Synch Period that has the value of 10000 or 10 seconds. The question is: Can we reduce it's value? And how to reduce?
Thanks for you consideration.
Best regards
