Navision 4.01 SP1 vs. SQL 2000 Cluster?

Hi!

We are running Navision 4.01 SP1 (with SQL-DB) on an active/passive cluster containing two Windows 2003 Server with SQL 2000 EE DB.

All cluster settings (treshold time, heartbeat frequency etc..) are currently standard values.

Sadly, when the active Clusternode is changing to the passive Node, everybody in Navision gets the freaky "SQL SERVER IS NO LONGER RESPONDING.." (sorry don't know the exact english sentence" warning and have to login again.

Does anybody here have a working cluster setup for me? Or, more generally, is it possible at all to achieve a real failover redundancy with Navision and SQL?

Kind Regards
Joerg

That is the standard process. MS had released a document that explained how Navision will work in clustered Environment. The user will get the error. They then have to reconnect.

Yes it would be nice if the connection remained connected, but it's not a disadvantage, just an inconvenience.
