Hi
My client wants to reallocate all costs related to its Admin department to other departments based on a certain percentage. This has to be done at the end of each month. It would have been difficult for them to input all the Profit and loss accounts ( 800 lines in all) on each line on the reccuring journal and allocate each G/L account balance to 4 divisions on the Gen. Jnl. Allocation table. That would imply inputting 3200 lines of allocation. So I loaded all the P&L accounts from a dataport. But the problem is that for accounts that have zero balance, Navision does not allow posting of zero amounts. Deleting the line is not the correct solution since the same GL account may have a balance in the next period.
Any suggestion(s)?
thanks and regards

Dear Videsh,
At time of importing the G/l accounts from the dataport , import only those records for which the net change in the G/l account <> 0 for the period of allocation. The technical consultant will do it.CA Sandeep Singla

Dear Sandeep
thanks for the reply. But as i said, these G/L accounts should not be excluded because for future periods they may have a balance. It will be very difficult for the user then to input those G/Ls that have a balance and that have not been loaded in the recurring journal.0 -
