I guess it's a good transition, at least for Navision. I've got the feeling that Doug was more focused on Great Plains than the other Dynamics product lines.
We had meeting on the last MVP Summit with Satya. It was good meeting. But what I remember, he is more focused to Axapta and GP than on Navision. But may be it is just my personal impression. And may be that was because on the meeting there were just 2 people for Navision... :-) We will see what the future brings us...
No, don't be afraid. Navision has still too much to offer. The final Microsoft Dynamics product will have something from Nav something from Ax something from GP (the Best Of)... and this does not depend on "who is the boss"...

The past has learned me that this is not always (=mostly NOT) true.
In general "the best of" is not decided by what is the best (technical,functional,...) but by other things (politics [I DON'T mean politicians], economics,...).

I'm not worried, what the future product will look like. If it's very technical, then it would take a little more time to master it and not everybody will able implement, which means we'll have more secure Jobs. Will that effect the success rates of implementations yes. Will it effect Sales, NO. MS has great Marketing (caugh, propoganda) skills. And they'll learn from their mistakes and will fix the product.
If they do it right the first time, Great, As Savatage said.
"Total World Domination" by the new product will happen asap. There will be a lot of NSC outhere and more Jobs for us.

Navision is such a great product, I'm wondering why they don't want to put more emphasis on it?
Maybe they want all Navision people to start learning AX? or GP?
