Font Setup

Hello,
I have a small question. We have 30 Navision Clients on the Domain. For one report we use specific barcode font and all the users should be able to print using this font. Of course we can install this font on each and every workstation but is there a way to install this font on the server and all workstations will be able to print using it? We use Navision 3.70....
Thank you in advance
Best Regards,
Oleg

Fonts must be installed in workstations even if the print spooler in a server.Reports are created locally in workstations.

In the two hours between views - you could have installed the font on the 30 workstations.

You could try to use the technique as described in this How To: How To install an OCX/DLL on the client's PC when needed (at run-time)? to copy & install the font on each PC. The font can be stored in a BLOB-field in the Navision database.

Its very easy to install the needed fonts on a local machine (desk- or laptop). Just test in your software (report or so) if the font is present if not add it. Fonts can be checked to see if they are in the windows\fonts directory. If they are not there, just copy them from a network resouce to the windows\fonts directory, and they can be used. This works fine for W2K and XP.
